The first time I published a piece on medium that did well was such a roller coaster ride — first came the excitement of publishing, then came the thrill of seeing my stats soar, then came the plummet of all the corrections from men of my typos and grammatical mistakes!

It was a good learning experience, not because I became better at writing but because I learned how desperately men want to prove they’re right and can only do so by focusing on the element of the piece that matters the least.
