…d I feel this way? For the past few years, I’ve been in a space in my life that requires stillness. Stillness requires a discipline that I think is underrated. It’s hard to be still, especially in our society. We applaud movement and productivity and lament stagnation and laziness. But stillness isn’t either of the latter. So why do we keep treating it as such? It’s usually in the stillness where we learn and grow a lot. And that’s exactly what I’ve been doing.
So well said! This is the stage of life my friend and I refer to as “the goo stage.” When caterpillars go into a cocoon, they basically dissolve into goo… only to reform into a butterfly!
